Fashion Advice and Tips

Have you ever seen a woman, whether they are famous or not that always seems to dress in the "right" colors that flatters and makes her look stunning? It's amazing that some women do not know the colors they should be wearing, and when you wear the wrong colors, it can make your face look washed out or make you look too harsh. On the other hand, when you are wearing the right colors for your skin tone, your eyes will stand out, your face will appear to have more color, and you will just "look" better to everyone you come into contact with.

The seasonal color analysis has been around for a number of years and yet, many women do not know what season they are. You can be draped to show you which colors are perfect for your skin tone, eye color, and hair. Interestingly, what many women do not know is even though you may fit into one specific seasonal color, you can mix and match them. For instance, there is the autumn/winter colors, which are typically the darker and more vibrant colors, but if you like pastels, you can wear a pastel along with a dark jacket, so that you are combining the seasonal colors, that will still look great on you.

Your body shape is another area that often stumps women when it comes to dressing in clothing to flatter. You can have a private stylist show you what body type you are so that you can dress in clothing that flatters. There are several body shapes and no two women are alike, but knowing your horizontal figure, which includes the hourglass figure, the inverted triangle, pear-shaped, triangle, rectangle, diamond, and oval.

Your vertical body shape it also important, which is the bottom half of your body. There are several shapes including long legs with a short torso, the balanced body, and the short legs with the long torso. When you understand your body type, you can choose clothing which flatters it. Think about all the "fashion disasters" you see every year on the red carpet at big Hollywood events, they are disasters not because of the designer, but normally it is due to the star wanting to dress her own way and not taking into account her body type or seasonal analysis, which means she might come out in washed out colors and something that simply does not flatter her body.

When you know your shape and what colors are your best, then you need to being buying clothing that are only in those colors and styles that look best on you. Go through your closet and get rid of all those colors that do not flatter you and the clothes that are not right for your body type. Once you pull all those out, then work with what you have left and add on from there. When you choose clothing, make sure to think about what you have in your home wardrobe because the more you can mix and match your clothing, the more outfits you will appear to have.
